Fundamental element for tourism, for the province, is the Lake Maggiore. Its banks with its characteristic countries represent a unique show. Center of remarkable attraction is definitely Stresa which represents the starting point for visiting the Borromean Islands, formed by the Isola Madre with its Palazzo Borromeo and its English Garden; the Isola Bella occupied for much of the Palazzo Borromeo and its Italian-style gardens;the Isola dei Pescatori, small town with typical houses. In Stresa also take place between the months of July and September the Stresa Festival, a series of concerts of high artistic value with internationally renowned artists and young talent of concert live.
