The cuisine of Belluno is a mix between mountain dishes and traditional Venetian cuisine. Examples are the barley soup, the suppressed and ossocolli of pork meats, gnocchi to “Cadorina” and the “casunizei” (ravioli). Among the first dishes there are also the risotto Lamonese, known as the “dish of the poets”, with Lamon beans and bay leaf. Are excellent speck from Cadore or salami Belluno, both obtained from the processing of meat from farms Alpine. Can not miss the polenta, enjoyed as a main dish or together with a slice of Casel Agordino, Contrin, Nevegal or of Casalino d’Alpago, great names of the local dairy production. The tipical sweets are “bigarani”, biscuits shaped donut dunk, made with bread dough to which are added, in a second dough, butter and sugar; while, the kodinzon, is a preserve made with dried apples obtained from local crops. Among the wines we mention the Prosecco Doc.
