Most of the recipes in the province of Enna reflect a predominantly agricultural land and dedicated to pastoralism , characterized by simple but tasty flavors. Typical dishes include pasta with mashed beans, with cauliflower or broccoli, wild asparagus and wild fennel. As for the meats are pork, lamb and goat, baked or barbecued. Among the desserts are delicious cookies as “vucciddati”, stuffed with dried figs, honey, candied fruit and toasted almonds, or “cannateddi” typical of Easter accompanied by a glass of Malvasia, fennel or Noceto.
