The culinary tradition of Verona is famous around the world, based on simple dishes yet refined. Starting from as rice Vialone nano IGP, for example served in a delicious and tasty risottos with the traditional red radicchio PDO. Excellent is sopressa, a “salami” made by mixing pork flavored with garlic, wine, salt and pepper. Among the signature dishes are distinguished boiled beef seasoned with a special pepper sauce, polenta pastissada, meat of duck and guinea fowl. Other typical products are the fish from nearby Lake Garda, the extra virgin olive oil, vegetables, such as white asparagus, cabbage. Among the desserts stands out, above all, the famous Pandoro, made in 1894 by Domenico Melegatti in his workshop Porta Borsari. Among the wines there are Bardolino, Lake Garda and the Lessini.
