Verona, capital of the province and the splendid city of art, is set amidst the testimonies of centuries of history: Roman ruins, medieval remains, Venetian influences and footprints Austrian. In the historical center, Piazza Erbe is its ultimate expression: architecture of Roman, Medieval and Renaissance harmoniously integrated in the era nineteenth century buildings. The historic Arena is the symbol of the city, the third largest Roman amphitheater in Italy, which in summer becomes the stage for big shows, concerts and opera seasons. The “city of love” is also the scene of the troubled love story told by the great Shakespeare: here, in fact, there is the house of Juliet, with the famous balcony. Of note yet Giardino Giusti, one of the most beautiful Italian gardens of the Renaissance. In the rest of the province they are scattered numerous art treasures, such as the sumptuous villas and impressive castles to be found along the shores of Lake Garda, including Villa Albertini, surrounded by a large park with avenues, waterfalls, fountains and caves. In the plains of Verona, you can admire the castles Bevilacqua and Villafranca; while, in the Valpolicella the Palladian villas, are now home to major wineries. For nature lovers there are the bridge of Veja, in Lessinia, a monumental nature of prehistoric origin formed after the collapse of a cave; the field of fossil unique in the world is located in Bolca from which they were extracted thousands of exhibits in excellent condition. On the shores of Lake Garda, you will enter the landscape of Monte Baldo, reached by a cable Bardolino to Bussolengo, Castelnuovo del Garda in Lazise.
