The food tradition of Fermo is rooted in popular culture tied to it , passed down from generation to generation. During the Festival of the typical products of the Marche, you can taste and buy typical products of the region, including the extra virgin olive oil, wines, meats, cheeses, vegetables, cereals, fruits, vegetables and fish, pasta, honey, distillates. Other Marche specialties are Ascolan olives, the macaroni of Campofilone, the loin of figs , cooked wine , truffles and the Fabriano salami , Fossa cheese and “ciauscolo” which is a spreadable salami, made of a mixture of meat pork, formed by bacon, shoulder, trimming of ham and loin with the addition of salt and spices such as black pepper and crushed garlic, with the addition of wine.
