The city of Alba is certainly the most known town of the province of Cuneo. In its territory is held every year, in October, the White Truffle Fair which attracts visitors and operators from all over the world to buy and taste the uncontested king of the table, just the white truffle. It is also called the city of a hundred towers, for this characteristic that has had in the past. The province of Cuneo hosts many Savoy residences, which are UNESCO World Heritage Site as theRacconigi Castle, the Castle of Pollenzo, the Govone Castle and the Palace of Valcasotto, located in the municipality of Garessio. It also signal other castles that are still monuments of great historical and architectural importance: the Castle of Grinzane Cavour , the Castles of Fossano and Manta.
