The Milanese culinary tradition is rooted in the products offered by the territory, starting from the rice, found in many dishes, including the famous risotto with saffron yellow. Also very good is the pumpkin soup and minestrone alla Milanese. In the rest of the province, there are the tripe, the casoela, mixed boiled meats and the famous Wiener schnitzel. Among the vegetables famous is the asparagus in Milan, known and appreciated for its delicacy. Excellent are cheeses such as parmesan, gorgonzola stravecchio, the crescenza. While, among the sausages there are salami Milano, the “Luganega” of Monza, typical sausage in Lombardy used to flavor rice dishes and soups of winter.
