Typical of the territory of Trieste is the ”Osmiza”, a tavern widespread and popular, where you can only consume foods such as meats, cheeses, eggs, pickled vegetables, cakes, breads and drinks such as wine and spirits products from Managers themselves. Characterized by Austrian influence, the tradition enogastronomic Trieste includes typical “jota” soup with cabbage, beans, pork and potatoes; the “zuf” is dish of polenta; risotto and various types of so-called “gnocchi de pan” and “gnocchi de plum”. Of traditional Austrian and Slovene, you can taste the sweet as “presnitz”, pastry stuffed with dried fruit, “strucolo”, apple strudel. The wines, typical of the karst are Terrano, Malvasia and Refosco. The province of Udine is located in the central-eastern part of Friuli Venezia and faces south on the Adriatic Sea. The territory is characterized by the Carnic and Julian Alps, the preferred destinations for trips in uncontaminated environments and winter sports; while, the beaches of Lignano Sabbiadoro are ideal for beach tourism.
