Among the typical products of this province there are many excellent products that have received coveted awards such as Bresaola IGP, the DOP cheese Bitto and Valtellina Casera, the IGP apples of Valtellina, honey and mushrooms, especially the porcini. Among the various sausages we found the sausages, salami and mortadella. As regards the former, are famous the pizzoccheri, rustic buckwheat noodles, excellent with the butter and cheese Alpe Valtellina Casera. Bisciola, also called pan de fich, is the typical sweet: it is a loaf of bread enriched with dried fruit, raisins, nuts, figs. If the vines are the main protagonists of the territory, the wines will only be the product obtained from the excellent work of generations of men and women who have transformed arid areas cultivated terraces.
